A one-under-par 72 by i Kaye Maxwell (Grange) high-; lighted play on the opening; day of the New Zealand junior girls’ golf tournament at the Castlecliff course yesterday. Miss Maxwell, however, scored a 79 in the afternoon, and missed winning the major first-day trophy.
