i (N.Z. Press Association) PORT MORESBY. (Given the benefit of a cool ; day with relatively low humidity, the New Zealand Maoris beat Papua New Guinea 38-13 yesterday in the grand final of the Pacific Rugby League Cup. The Maoris led 20-8 at halftime in the hard-fought match, which was played before a capacity crowd of more than 13,000 in Port Moresby. Tries for the Maoris were scored by Ricky Muruj (2), John Wilson. John Smith. Ray Harris, William Raihe, William Sorenson, and Paul Matete. Wilson kicked seven goals. The Maoris again had trouble with the scrums, losing them 13-10, and conceding several scrum penalties in the penalty count, which went to the home side, 16-6.
