Dunedin has 9-0 win
If goal average should be needed io separate the top clubs in the Broadlands Southern League at the end of the season, Dunedin City might look back upon its deeds on Saturday as a decisive act. The league pace-setter hammered nine goals past Woolston W.M.C. in one of the biggest victories in the regional competition since it stalled in 1968. The win not only retained Dunedin’s 100 per cent record and the club’s one-point lead over Rangers and Shamrock, but also gave the Otago side the best goal average. Rangers overcame their Christchurch rivals. Technical, 3-0, at i English Park, getting all the goals in a 10-minute burst., and Shamrock defeated Queen's Park. 3-1. The four goals in this match I came in the final 28 minutes. Western did well to take, a point from a goalless draw with Thistle in Invercargill. There is Tittle doubt, after only four rounds of the competition, that the 1975 champion will come from Dunedin City. Rangers. Shamrock, or Western Results: Shamrock 3. Queen’s Park I; Technical 0.
