Court. ’ Trevor James Bishop, aged 20, of Palmerston North, had earlier pleaded guilty to a charge of assault and to 13 charges of false pretence. By pretending to be a policeman who would go to gaol if he did not pay his debts, he received $9450 from the 78-year-old woman, leaving her with 87 cents in her bank account. On another charge of impersonating a police officer, Bishop was gaoled for three : months, concurrent with the 1 other prison term.
