Communist forces have j skirted the besieged provincial capital of Xuan Loc to ■strike at sprawling Bien Hoa Air Base, the keystone in the the defence of Saigon. United Press International reported. Military strategists said that the infantry and artillery attacks against Bien Hoa, 14 miles north-east of Saigon, may signal the start of a major Communist drive against the strategic air base. North Vietnamese troops, using-long-ranee 130 mm fin'd guns, fired a thunderous, 20j round artillery barrage at the lair base yesterday evening, [wounding 29 people.
