Gold bullion story denied

The South Vietnamese Government has denied the truth of a report in the American magazine. “Time,” about an attempt to smuggle SUS73m worth of gold bullion to Switzerland by President Thieu and President Lon Nol of Cambodia. The chief Government spokesman. Mr Nguyen Quoc Cuong. characterised the report as “groundless and illintentioned.” and added: “It is not worth commenting any further.”
