tParhamenlan/ Reporter) ; WELLINGTON, April 15. j Details of the laying-off *f 'a shift of 26 women at the (New Zealand Insulators factory in Ashburton have been supplied to the Minister of Labour (Mr Faulkner) by Mr |R. L. G. Talbot (Nat., South Canterbury). When Mr Talbot mentioned the Ashburton factory in a supplementary question, Mr Faulkner asked him for details. These were promptly I provided by letter. I “I will look forward to receiving details from the Minister as to how these I women in Ashburton are to Ibe employed in future, as (promised in the Labour Party jmanifesto. which claimed | that everyone would have I the opportunity to work,” said Mr Talbot later.
