Save power
Refrigerator and Freezer Avoid frequent opening of the door or lid and never leave the door open. Wait for hot food to cool before placing it in the refrigerator or freezer. Keep the temperature level to that recommended — too low means longer running with higher costs and unnecessary wear. Defrost regularly. Ensure that the condenser grid which is usually mounted behind a refrigerator is dusted periodically. The sealing gasket around the door or lid can be come dislodged or damaged — check this. They' can also become brittle with age and lose their effectiveness.
