Man hurt in shooting
A man was taken to Christchurch Hospital with head injuries after a shooting incident at 103 St Johns Street. Woolston. about 5 p.m. yesterday.
The Canterbury head of the C. 1.8., Detective Superintendent E. G. Perry, said last evening that some of the persons involved in the incident were members of motor-cycle gangs.
Armed offenders personnel, a squad of 12 detectives and about 20 uniform police, including dog handlers, made inquiries throughout the city.
Later two men were questioned at the C. 1.8. oilice and will appear in the Magistrate’s Court tomorrow charged with attempted murder and aggravated robbery.
