Tournament to United

1 Christchurch United yesterday won the Rangers pre-season Junior invitation Tournament Cup at Cuthberts Green. I Wainoni. with an average of 7.2 points for its four teams competing. More than 450 boys from Canterbury clubs took part in 105 matches of 20 minutes duration from 9 a.m. to 2.45 p.m., and the I presentation of the cup was I made bv the president of the I New Zealand and Canterbury Junior Football Associations (Mr Alan Fraser). The winner was worked out on the total number of points' I scored by each club being divided by its number of teams competing, to give the average points I per team. ! Shamrock was second with an average of 6.4 points per team, and Burndale was third with an average of 6.1 points per team.
