April 1. 1975, to March, 31. 1976. I FEES PAYABLE AS I FOLLOWS: WORKING DOGS, $5 60 ! A xvorking dog to be one .of the following categories: i t.a) Dogs kept ’by a farmer or drover for the purpose I of herding or driving sheep or cattle. i «b) One dog only kept by a commercial poultry I keeper and kept solely i for the purpose of pro--1 tecting his poultry. ' (c) Dogs employed for “See- ! ing Eye” purposes by blind persons.. ' (d) Dogs oxvned by security organisations and pest J destruction boards. OTHER DOGS. $7.00 J CHANGE OF OWNERSHIP ■ The previous owner and ; the nexv owner shall each within 14 days notify the Council Office in writing of any change of ownership and . the residential address of the nexx* owner. City Council, at an Ordinary ‘Meeting held in the City 1 i Council Chambers, 194 Mani;Chester Street, Christchurch. - at 8 p.m. on Monday, the 17th j day of March, 1975, passed a 1 resolution to make a By-law, I the short title of which will be “The Christchurch Ci tv By-law No. 50(A).” I The object or purport of II such By-law is to amend the Christchurch City By-law No. 1 50, relating to control of t parts of the Avon and Heath- « cote Rivers, the Estuary s thereof, and certain foreshore and adjacent areas and ; waters. r The proposed amendments i are as follows:— L The insertion of the followj ing new clause in the Christ--1 church City Bv-law No. 50— “MOTOR LAUNCH SPEED LIMIT UA. No person shall propel or navigate a motor launch at a proper speed > greater than 10 m.p.h. upon any part of the Estuary of the Avon and Heathcote Rivers, the foreshore and adjacent, waters.” The. insertion of the follow- , ing new clause in the Christchurch City By-law No. 50— “TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF BY-LAW 48A. ■ (1) In any case 1 where in its opinion there i are special circumstances xvhich so justify, the Council may from time to time, by notice published once in a newspaper circulating in the City of Christchurch, upon such terms and conditions and for such period or - periods as it thinks fit, det clare that this By-law or any specified provisions - hereof shall not apply, or shall apply 'subject to such 1 modifications as are specified in the notice in respect of such defined area or 1 areas as the Council thinks ‘ fit. j (2) On the occasion of any yaght. launch or boat race or speed trial, the General Manager and Town Clerk for the time being of the Council may. in the manner stipulated in the preceding sub-clause, suspend this By-law or any specified provisions hereof upon such terms and conditions and for such period and in respect of such defined area or areas as he thinks fit.” IT IS HEREBY FURTHER PUBLICLY NOTIFIED that the foregoing resolution will be submitted to an Ordinary I: Meeting of the Christchurch .
