ANTI-NOISE CAMPAIGN

About 232 trartic offence notices have now been issued in the five weeks since the Ministry of Transport's city division started iis campaign against noisy vehicles and noisy driving. The campaign has another month to run. but the city's traffic superintendent (Mr A. Goldsmith! said on Monday that extra enforcement of noise regulations'will continue beyond that time. Not by any stretch of the imagination have we got on top of the problem.”
