Bikies leave convention

Bikies from all parts of New Zealand packed up today and left their Easter convention on the banks of a Mokoreta stream near Redan.
The group heading north left the area about 7 a.m. and those from Invercargill left about 11.30 a.m.
The police, who have been watching the bikies since a stabbing incident on Friday, ■followed the groups out of the area. Northern police followed the group up the South Island. No arrests have been made after the stabbing incident, which sent members of the Timaru Highwaymen gang home earlv.
A group of about 30 riders arrived in Christchurch last ; evening and the police said, they believed they were stay-: ing with Christchurch bikies i overnight. All the riders had behaved in an orderly way! and it was understood that; some would be continuing northward today, to their] homes tn the North Island. 1
