Sir,—ln the interests of accuracy the cost of electricity quoted by Dr R. B. Keey to put on kW of power into a house should be corrected. He has agreed that the first figure he gave publicly of S2OOO “as high” and suggested $650 a kW as the correct figure. Even this figure is far too high, if it
I were correct, every power ■lsupply authority in New Zeat land would be bankrupt. The diversity of demand (which i Dr Keey says is irrelevant) is a real factor to be considered \and reduces the $650 a kW of ■inessential power “at a power station” to a figure, under, • $lOO for one kW of power} “into a house.”—Yours, etc...
