Caught in the act
Two men were apprehended on a motor-cycle soon after they had taken it from the premises of Eric Wood Motor-cycles. Ltd. in Manchester Street, early yesterday. The men gained entry by smashing a pane of glass, and; took a 1973 Triumph motor-1 ■cycle, two jackets, gloves,' and helmets. They were caught about 2 a.m. by a police patrol. . Two other persons were caught by a C. 1.8. patrol at 5.30 a.m. yesterday, after they were disturbed while trying to break into Alabas-; ter’s Merit ale Pharmacy, in Papanui Road. They had not had time to take anything. The Woolston School was! broken into on Saturday night, but the intruder was' also caught in the act before; he could take anything. |
