Youth hurt in crash

A 16-year-old Southbridge youth, John Stanley Cham--bers, suffered leg and arm injuries when his motor-; cycle and a car collided in Southbridge about 8 p.m. on; Saturday. He was admitted to Christchurch Hospital where f his condition last eveningwas described as fairly satisfactory. In Christchurch three' people were taken to hospital after two cars collided at 6.45 p.m. on Saturday. Craig Hepburn, aged 57, of 23 Ruskin Street, Addington, received head lacerations and a bruised leg. William Ernest Reeved aged 73, of 104 WainoniRoad, suffered head injuries and lacerations. Stanley Borwick, aged 62, of 19 Selwyn Street, Somerfield, received head and leg injuries in the accident. All three men have since; been discharged. A pedestrian suffered lacerations and head injury when he was hit by a car in Colombo Street, Sydneham, at 8.10 p.m. on Saturday. Peter Alfad. aged 21, of 55 Mathesons Road, Linwood, was admitted to hospital but discharged on Sunday.
