The appointee will assist in the establishing of an Applied Research and Development programme in areas of production engineering and assist in an industrially orientated Numerical Control Advisory Service. This service will include technical and economic appraisal studies of individual firms, evaluating their potential for application of numerical control and associated machining techniques. A degree or corporate membership of a Professional Institution is an essential qualification. Applicants should have a background of research and development in production processes. A specific knowledge of numerically controlled machining techniques would be an advantage. A commencing salary of up to $11,562 per annum is payable depending on qualifications and experience.
