Soccer clubs thriving
Soccer clubs are bursting at the seams, and cannot find enough coaches and administrators for the boys who are coming up. reports the Canterbury Junior Football Association.
The growth in soccer could be related to the interest in the National League and also overseas matches shown on television, the association said. All Christchurch secondary schools were now playing soccer, the last to take up the code being Christ’s College.
