‘Aquacade' to be performed
More than 40 girls from Auckland to Bluff will take part in a national aquacade of synchronised swimming at Queen Elizabeth II Park pool tomorrow evening. The girls will give an exhibition of the sport which is now included in world championships. If Christchurch gets the 1978 world swimming championships synchronised swimming will be □art of the programme. The two hours show will be a combination of water ballet and synchronised swimming, and will be led by Debbie Lye, the national coach of the sport. There are only a few clubs in \’cw Zealand which have •‘synchro” groups and the idea of the aquacade is to spread interest in the spoit The routines will be done to . music and the group «ill have ' its own sound system which includes underwater speakers.
