Cattle drive to Kaikoura
Two farm properties at Kekerengu. 42 miles north of Kaikoura, began yesterday a drive of 300 head of cattle south to the Kaikoura cattle sale on April 3. The cattle reached Clarence Bridge last evening and will leave again at dawn today for Kaikoura, a distance of 25 miles.
They are being brought down this week because Easter traffic on State Highway 1 would hold up both the motor traffic and the drive. The two properties concerned in the drive are those of the A. Davies Estate and Mr J. G. Latter.
