NOTICE is hereby given that pursuant to Section 26 of the Air Services Licensing Act, 1951, the Licensing Authority will hold a Public Inquiry at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, the 25th day of March, 1975, in the Conference Room, 12th floor, Aurora House, The Terrace Wellington, to consider applications to amend Air Service Licence Nos 796. 797, 798, 799, and 800 in the name of New Zealand National Airways Corporation, P.O. Box 96, Wellington as follows;— (a) Air Service Licence No. 796: (i) Amend Appendix C by increasing pasger ‘fares by 5 per cent with a minimum of $l. (ii) Amend Appendix D by increasing freight rates by 1 cent per kilogram. (b) Air Service Licence No. 797: Amend Appendix C by increasing passenger fares by 5 pei' cent with a minimum of $l. (c) Air Service Licence No. 798: Amend Appendix C by increasing freight rates by 1 cent per kilogram. (d) Air Service Licence No. 799: (i) Amend Appendix C by increasing passenger fares by 5 per cent with a minimum of $l. No. 800: Amend Appendix C by increasing freight rates by 1 cent per , kilogram. 1 (f) Air Service Licence Nos 796 and 797: Substitute the following schedule of charges for excess baggage for existing schedule:— 1 NEW ZEALAND NATIONAL AIRWAYS CORPORATION SCHEDULE OF CHARGES FOR EXCESS BAGGAGE (a) Passengers travelling pursuant to a ticket issued in accordance with Part II of the Carriage by Air Act. 1967 (Domestic Passengers). 1. DEFINITIONS: Free Baggage Allowance: Each passenger shall be entitled to . have carried free of charge one piece of checked baggage hav- • ing a linear measurement (length by breadth by depth) not exceeding 56 inches or 150 centimetres. Excess Baggage: Where a piece of baggage exceeds the linear measurements provided for in the free baggage allowance, such excess shall be considered an anditional piece of baggage and subject to the excess baggage charges. Each piece of checked baggage carried in addition to the free allowance shall be subject to the excess baggage charge. 2. SCALE OF CHARGES FOR EXCESS BAGGAGE: Each piece of baggage subject to the excess baggage charge shall be charged in accordance with the scale of charges set out in the following schedules. The amount payable in respect of each piece of baggage varies in accordance with the length of journey being undertaken by the passenger and shall be determined by reference to the published fare applicable to such journey by an adult passenger. Free Baggage Allowance: Each passenger shall be entitled to a free checked baggage allowance of 30 kilos or 20 kilos in accordance with applicable international conditions. Excess Baggage Charge: Charges for checked baggage in excess of the free allowance will be charged at the rate of 1 per cent of the adult first class fare applicable to the passengers journey for each kilo of excess baggage. 2. If you desire to support or object to the proposed amendments you are requested to make written submissions to the Licensing Authority not later than 4 p.m. on Monday, the 24th day of March, 1975.
