Pilot Officer P. M. O’Meeghan, aged 19, of Darvel Street, Riccarton, is among the latest group of Royal Air Force pilots to receive his wings. H? was presented with them at the No. 1 Flying Training School, Yorkshire, by the Air Officer Commanding No. 11 Fighter Group of

Strike Command (Air ViceMarshal R. W. G. Freer). Educated at Christ’s College, Pilot Officer O’Meeghan joined the Royal Air Force in 1973. He has been posted to Wales for advanced training on the Gnat jet, the aircraft used by the world-famous Red Arrows aerobatic team.
