HORSE IN DITCH

It took firemen and helpers an hour and a half last evening to free a horse trapped in a ditch in Marshland.

i The horse was grazing in a paddock off Turners Road when it slipped into a ditch 3ft wide and sft deep. The firemen lifted the horse with inflatable bags and then raised it clear with a hydraulic hoist. The horse had been in the ditch some time and had lost the use of its legs.
