This evening’s show will be held in Riccarton House at 7.30 p.m. Other events on the “Come Alive” programme today are: The Good Companions Social Club, oldtime dancing, St Mary’s Hall, Manchester Street, 8 to 11 p.m.; Canterbury Croquet Association, Silver Badge competitions, club headquarters, 9 a.m.; New Zealand Homemakers’ Union, welcome at play group, 113 Summerfield Street, 2 p.m.; Model Aircraft Club, invitation freeflight contest, films, slides, Wigram Air Base; “Learn square dancing,” St David’s Hall, Wairakei Road, 8 p.m.; Roller skating, rollerdrome, Hornby, 7 p.m.
