SOCIAL WORKER WOOLLAHRA MUNICIPAL COUNCIL Written applications are invited from ladies and gentlemen who are members of, or eligible to join, the Australian Association of Social Workers, for the position of COMMUNITY SOCIAL WORK with Woollahra Municipal Council. To establish the base data of social welfare needs within the community and report as to action plans to meet such needs; and in particular the needs of the proschool. teenage and aged groups; and to this end to establish and maintain an effective liaison with and co-ordination of agencies and organisations offering community services with the Municipality. 2. To report to and inform the Council through the Town Cleric on the above matters, and other matters relating to social welfare and social development within the Municipality. 3. To provide specialised consultation to local community groups and to encourage their co-operative action. 4. To promote public awareness of community services and resources. The salary range for the position will be in accordance with the Australian Government scale for Social Workers Class 11. progressing from $10,700 p.a., based upon qualifications, experience and responsibilities.
