Raced well at Inter Dominion last month, finishing with decisive win in a consolation race. Must have great chance. T. Knowles 7 1270 SCOTTY GRATTAN (7) It. Has failed at Tauranga and Claudelands at latest starts but earlier form good. Sound prospects. 9 4278 MASTER DEAN (9) It. Had fourth and second in Inter-Dominion heats. On that form must have fine chance here.

R. Cameron 10 3210 ECLIPSE (10) It. One of best four-year-olds in South Island but has not raced since finishing well back in Auckland Cup on December 31. D. D. Nvhan 11 3004 OUR IVY (11) It. Only fair effort at last start, at Claudelands on February 4. Has good deal of ability - but hard to fancy in this company. H. Purdon 13 7464 PAULA SCOTT (13) It. Another solid effort at Claudelands on Tuesday night. Looks sure to go well again. D. Gibbons 15 5121 NOBLE ESCORT (15) It. Won at Addington on February 11 in fast time for 2000 m at last start. Awkwardly drawn but with luck in running could be dangerous. R. Butt 16 9080 ARMBRO MAGIC (16) It. Broke at start, losing all chance, at Claudelands on Tuesday. Will be Ic'lpcd bv mobile dispatch and could surprise.

J. Langdon 17 0815 NELSON ADIOS (17) It. Had bad passage at Claudelands on Tuesday after win ning there on February 4. Looks out of depth in this.

J. Baker 5 1232 EDWARD EDEN (5) It. Has been racing very consistently. Second in C 3 race at Hutt Park last week. 6 6202 CAPTAIN'S PRIDE (6) It. Just caught after making pace at Alexandra Park on February 15. Looks back to best form and should go well.

T. Knowles 8 5351 ADIOO DIRECT (8) It. Won C2 race at Palmerston North on February 12 at last start. Promising but not well placed here. 9 1048 KOARAKAU (9) It. Showed disappointing form at latest starts, at Hutt Park in January. One of most tightly assessed four-year-olds in South Island and, in top form, would be hard to beat. D. G. Nyhan 10 6708 HAPPY FELLA (10) It. Moderate showing at Claudelands on Tuesday night. Hard to fancy. J. Langdon 11 9231 JOSIAS (11) It. Regained winning list with brilliant run at Claudelands on Tuesday. Looks the winner. J.
