Bus driver fined for assault

(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, March 6. Patience and understanding were the essential ingredients of any bus driver, said a Magistrate in the Otahuhu Court to an Auckland Regional Authority bus driver today.

Mr T. R. Gillies, S.M., was sentencing Abraham Joseph I Warren on a charge of;< assaulting a 10-year-old girl: passenger. I < The Court had earlier 1 heard of a confrontation < between the girl and Warren 1 in the school bus and of how he had picked her up by the 1 waist and put her down on 1 the second step of the 'bus)'! Although he acknowledged 1 that the girl had suffered no * physical harm from Warren, the Magistrate said that Warren had no justification in 1 bodily picking the girl up. :< Counsel (Mr M. C.
