I Most of the criticism of the service came from people who wanted to bring in a different form of government. • such as a Communist State or I dictatorship, which the people • of New Zealand opposed, he r said. He also said, in answer to questions, that there was] j adequate protection for indi-i llviduals through appeal to the! '■Commissioner for Security! ;] Appeals, a retired Supreme: Court judge, if they had been
excluded from a position for which they were qualified.
