Anne Hearst arrested

Anne Randolph Hearst, aged 19, who was arrested at the Canadian - United States border yesterday on a drugs charge, has denied visiting her fugitive sister, Patricia, in Canada. She told Federal Bureau of Investigation agents that she did not know the whereabouts of Patricia, the Cali--1 fornian newspaper heiress ’wanted on weapons and robbery charges. Anne Hearst was arrested on the Rainbow Bridge at Niagara Falls, where 12 amphetamine tablets were found in the sock of one of her two male companions. She pleaded guilty at her arraignment to a charge which carries a maximum penalty of one year in prison and a SUSSOOO fine. Hearst faces further proceedings in a Federal court in New r York on March 19.
