Mr Muldoon abroad

Sir, — “G. D.” has written regarding .Mr Muldoon abroad and says that Mr Muldoon is “trying to ruin this country’s overseas trade.” What a ridiculous statement from an obviously misinformed person. As Leader of the Opposition Party Mr Muldoon has a responsibility to visit countries with which we trade and hope to trade so that he can assess first-hand, the immediate economic and future economic situations of these countries. Mr Muldoon is not taking his responsibility as Leader of the Opposition lightly, and is definitely preparing himself properly for the coming election with facts, not fantasies. — Yours etc., R. B. McKENZIE. March 2, 1975.
