guard Organisation hopes to* see a Friends of the Theatre Royal group formed in an attempt to prevent demolition of the theatre. The chairman of the organisation (Dr Helen Hervey) said on Tuesday that the demolition would be a .historical and theatrical loss i It was for this reason that I the organisation planned to ■ convene a meeting of people (interested in the project. I with the aim of forming the jgroup. Dr Hervey said. A number of people had already expressed interest in (the project. Others inter-* jested were invited to contact Dr Hervey (phone 74-268); *Mr P. Simmonds, chairman (of the Operatic Society* 1(43-593); or Mr M. Marshall! ! (555-729).
