Lifters for Moscow
The New Zealand Weightlifting Association intends to send a team to the world championships in Moscow in September. It hopes to be represented by five or six competitors and a manager, but this will depend on the success of fund-raising proThe Commonwealth middle-weight champion. Tony Ebert, of Canterbury said yesterday that the re suits of weight-lifting at the | New Zealand Games hat shown that the Russian were technically superb and stronger. “We should improve eve l more by being represented a ■ Moscow,” he added.
