Spectacular dive
A spectacular last dive brought the American, Janet Lelly, (o within 0.36 of a point of the world champion. Uiirka Knape (Sweden) in the preliminary round of the high board diving at Queen Elizabeth II Park last evening. In her first three dives Missi Lelly’s best total was 43.89] points, but her last, per-1 formed almost to perfection,! earned her 54 points. Miss Knape’s consistency en-| abled her to hold the lead.' The other three women in] the event were all within 101 points of her. Alexander Kossenkov (Rus. i sia) had a substantial lead of! 12.15 points after the preliminary men’s high board.
