INTER-CLUB P CLASS

(N.Z. Press Association) NELSON. Several yachtsmen are likely contenders in the interclub P class yacht championships for the Tauranga Cup which began off Port Nelson yesterday. The morning race was sailed in very light conditions was won by D. Jones (Muritai), 3min 28sec ahead of A. Roberts (Canterbury). Third was R. Auld (Plimmerton), fourth was G. Sharland (Nelson), and K. McDonald (Tor Bay, Auckland) was fifth. In the afternoon race, Sharland was first, llsec ahead of Jones. G. Laurie (Tauranga) was third, D. Foster (French Bay) fourth, and G. Mills (Kohimarama), fifth. There are two more races today, and the last one is on Saturday. Fifty-eight yachts started the races yesterday.
