Croquet titles decided
(N.Z. Press Association) ‘ NELSON. Roger Murfitt , (Christchurch) added another title to his impressive list when he won the men’s championship in the South Island croquet tournament yesterday. He beat another young player, Denis Bulloch (Dunedin), 26-7, in the final. In the handicap singles, Murfitt was beaten, 26-0, by Charles Jones (Palmerston North). Another Christchurch player. Miss Susan Grigg, took the .women's title. She defeated Mrs Mary MacLachlan (Nelson), 26-17.
Boxing.—The World Boxing Association feather-weight champion. Alexis Arguello (Nicaragua) will meet Leonel Hernandez (Venezuela) in a title bout on March 15. either in Maracay. aO miles west of Caracas, or in the new Poliedro Arena in the centre of Caracas. i
