Burnside talks
(N Z Press Association) DUNEDIN. January 10. Burnside union representatives and freezing works management will meet on Monday morning under the chairmanship of the Industrial Mediator (Mr J. P. Cranston) in an attempt to resolve the dispute which has resulted in 600 mutton processors being laid off. Slaughtermen are claiming that extra time is required to carry out hygiene regulations which came into force this season. The New Zealand Refrigerating Company aserts that a purposeful goslow by slaughterman constituted a strike.
