Situations Vacant PUBLICATIONS OFFICER (Vacancy No. 1/75) To help in a growing programme of information -for the public the Commission needs an efficient and enthusiastic Publications officer. He must be able to wriie for the public, drawing upon material from the technical divisions (Compensation. Safety, Medical and Rehabilitation, Finance, Legal) and presenting it accurately in clear, concise and non technical language. He will work on regular periodicals, bulletins, newsletters, folders, pamphlets, booklets, brochures and other types of informative publications. - Knowledge of typography, artwork, design, layout and preparation of copy for offset reproduction would- be desirable. There could be opportunities for public speaking if desired. Salary would depend on qualifications and experience and will be negotiated at any point up to $10,192. PRODUCTION/COSTING CLERK MACKS CONFECTIONS LIMITED We have been entrusted with the responsibility of recommending a suitably experienced man for this important position. A new factory is being opened in Hornby and greatly increased production capacity has has created this challenging position. The appointee will be required to liaise closely with the factory Manager and Foreman and to upgrade systems to cope with increases in Production and staff. As production increases clerical assistance will be made available but initially, duties will includes:— Preparation of Production Orders. Maintenance of Stock Control records. Preparation of Purchases requisitions. Authorising supplies. Invoices for payment. Preparing cheques. Customer correspondence. Maintenance of Costing records. Assistance will be made available while the necessary systems are being established but, following a reasonable induction period, the successful applicant would need to have the attributes necessary to successfully run the factory office.
