UNIVERSITY OF CANTERBURY STUDENTS’ ASSOCIATION ACCOUNTANT APPLICATIONS are invited from suitably qualified men and women for the above position. Applicants must have a good knowledge of accounting and office procedures and should possess initiative and ability. The appointee will be employed by the Students’ Association, directly responsible to the President, at a salary to be negotiated in accordance with qualifications and experience within the range of 55400 and $6500 per annum, subject to annual review and with provision for service increments. His/her duties will include: (a) Writing up of operating ledgers and preparation of final accounts and balance sheet. (b) Preparation of monthly returns of Association operations. (c) Preparation of wages. (d) Supervision of filing. (e) Other office duties as may be required and general work delegated by the President. WELLINGTON HOSPITAL BOARD MEDICAL EXECUTIVE POSITIONS Following a management re-organisation, the Wellington Hospital Board is seeking two qualified Medical Officers to fill the following posts at Wellington Hospital:— These positions offer the challenge of joining a new and vital team from its inception and the opportunity to contribute to improving medical management practices in the hospital service. 1. Assistant Director: In-hospital Medical Services. He will be responsible for the standards of inpatient services and the effective use of hospital resources. 2. Assistant Director: Out-patient Services. He will be responsible for the effective functioning of the hospital’s Out-patients, Accident and Emergency departments, the Admissions Office and the Para-medical services. These positions offer stimulating opportunities for first c’ass training as medical executives. QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to those who qualify for Specialist Status in terms of the New Zealand Hospital Service Determination for Medical Officers. Applications will however be considered from those qualified for status of Medical Officer of Special Scale.
