Mr Patrick Murphy, a music teacher from Christchurch now working in Australia, has pioneered the use of Indonesian instruments to play Western music. Mr Murphy is the music master at Santa Maria’s Girls’ College in Melbourne. He discusses the Anklung with some of the girls at the college. It is a bamboo instrument.
