‘PLAYER’ AWARD

Two share top place B. G. Hadlee has joined P. G. Coman in lhe lead for the Lion “player of the day” award. Each has 10 points, one ahead of J. G. Phillips and K. J. Wadsworth. B. G. Hadlee took three points on Saturday with another polished innings. K. S. Chambers won three with some startling bowling for Lancaster Park, and K. Thomson had another three, for a masterful innings for Sydneham. K. I. Ferries was the other major points winner, with a fine display of skill and stamina, bowling for St Albans.

Other awards were.— Two points, G. Nicoll, G. T. Barrett, Phillips, D. G. Trist; one point, L. D. A. Thorn, N. E. Francis, R. Hall, T. Luke. (Cricket reports page 19).
