Ltd n f Christchurch. has been granted permission for a change of use to run a factory at 63 Victoria Street Rangiora The permission involves the use of a house as a factory premises for five years, subject to the building being upgraded This is intended to be the first stage in developing the company’s shoe-nianufactu;. ing business at Rangiora The Rangiora Borough Council agreed to this after the one objector. Mr S. \V. M. Smith, had withdrawn his objection. Conditions applying to the specified departure are that the company provide oflstreet parking for six cars; the 20 foot rear yard, adjacent to the residential zone, be kept clear of buildings or structures and car parking; the front yard and the rear yard, where it adjoins the residential zone, be landscaped to the satisfaction of the council: the factory must not create objectionable elements of noise, smoke, smell, effluent, vibration, and dust that would cause offence to adjoining residential properties.
