BUTTERFLY RECORD

fN.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. Miss Monique Rodahl (North Shore) broke the national junior 220 yards butterfly record in a special attempt at the tepid baths in Auckland on Saturday night. Her time of 2min 28.7 sec was 3.2 sec under the previous record, set by Miss Lynne Rowe (Canterbury). It was the North Shore girl’s sixteenth record-break-ing swim, and the total does not take into account the occasions she has broken both the senior and junior record in one swim.
