Migrants will be sent back

(N.Z. Press Assn —Copyright) HONG KONG, Dec. 1. The Hong Kong Government is to resume handing back illegal immigrants from China as part of a policy of regulating immigration into the British colony. More than 7000 illegal immigrants from China have been picked up in Hong Kong so far this year. Senior Government officials say that the total, including those who escaped detection, is about four times this figure. The problem posed by thousands of legal and illegal immigrants from China on the colony’s economy and social services has been the subject of top-level contacts between London, Peking and the Hong Kong authorities.
