Teltherm has better half

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. Teltherm Industries, Ltd, the Auckland industrial instrument manufacturer and importer, boosted its profit by 27 per cent and sales by 29 per cent in the six months to September 30.

The interim dividend is held at 6 per cent, payable on December 6, ex dividend November 27. The directors say that they expect sales and profits for the full year to be above those for last year.

In the September half-year last year, the profit rose 68 per cent and sales 53 per cent.

The company says that although some departments experienced relatively buoyant trading, development was restricted by severe shortages of labour and materials.

Last year, the company raised its dividend from 12 per cent to 15 per cent.
