Fire engine in crash
A fire engine on its way toj a fire in Riccarton Road was j involved in a collision with a car at the intersection of! Riccarton Road and Matipo Street about 9 p.m. yesterday. The occupants of the car, a woman and her two children, suffered only minor cuts and shock. No firemen were injured. The engine, from the Sockbum station, was travelling to a fire in a pot of fat at a foodbar in Riccarton Road. The fire was put out with a dry-powder extinguisher.
