Bushfires raging
(N.Z. Press Assn—Copyright) ALICE SPRINGS, Nov. 8.
At least four huge bushfires were burning through grazing and plains country in the Australian outback today. Firefighters said one was advancing on a 40-mile front in south-west Queensland while three others were threatening buildings on the Nullarbor Plain. No casualties were reported.
