Two terms of life for murder
(NiZ. Press Assn—Copyright) SYDNEY. A New Zealander has been sentenced in Sydney to two life imprisonment terms for the murder of two attendants at Sydney’s Paddy’s Market on June 22 last year. Anthony James Fuller, aged 27, a house painter, of the Sydney suburb of Paddington, is to serve the two terms concurrently. A 12-man jury in the Central Criminal Court found him guilty after a four-hour retirement.
Fuller pleaded not guilty to stabbing to death Emilton Augusta Marshall, aged 54 and Aubrey John Devere Short, aged 88. During a two-day trial the court was told the victims had been displaying Kiwi fruit on their stand, an act which Fuller thought insulting.
