Hadlee’s future in doubt
The New Zealand test fast bowler, R. J. Hadlee, is “anything but confident” at present about his cricket future. He did not bowl in his club match on Saturday because of a recurrence of a shoulder injury sustained in the second test against Australia last season and aggravated in the third test. Hadlee did not have treatment for a muscle injury during the winter, in the expectation that rest would be the best cure. But in the first round of senior club games, he said, he had severe pain just after the moment of delivery. He is having treatment for the injury and plans to wait two weeks before trying to bowl again.
