The Americans increased their lead to 10 strokes, with one round to go. Great Britain-Ireland and Italy were joint second, on 477. Trailing the top three were Spain and Australia at 481.

It was another disappointing day for the New Zealanders. Miss F. Pere had an 87, Mrs S. Bishop an 88, and Miss S. Boag an 89. New Zealand’s total was 517. Leading scores:—
