Police cars damaged

Three police cars have I been damaged in accidents lin or near Christchurch in I the last two days. The latest accident oc-■ curred about 10 p.m. yesterday when a car struck a police car parked outside the Papanui Police Station, pushing the vehicle into a power pole. The police car was a write-off. The driver of the other car was taken to the Central Police Station for blood tests. A second patrol car was damaged when it struck a cow near Woodend on Monday evening, and a third patrol car was slightly damaged in a collision near Ferry Road on Monday afternoon. The car had stopped on an intersection and was making a right-hand turn when the collision occurred. No-one suffered more than minor injury in any of the accidents.
